With his diverse four-track ‘The Bipolar EP‘  priming itself for release, Anjunabeats rising star Mat Zo is embarking on his biggest tour of North America yet – including dates at San Francisco’s Ruby Skye, Toronto’s Guvernment, Denver’s Beta and Chicago’s Sound Bar. The 10-date tour will come to an end at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Miami party on Bayfront Park, site of the Ultra Music Festival, on Thursday, March 22 alongside Above & Beyond, Arty, Boom Jinx and Jaytech [#GroupTherapyMiami].

Celebrating the ‘The Bipolar EP,’ Mat has also released an hour long mix of progressive grooves, quirky mash-ups and the innovative tracks from EP itself.

There are two things that separate every DJ in the EDM world: first is the music and their ability to produce tracks and second is their performance on the stage. Yep, we are talking about Scottish DJ Calvin Harris and the iconic DJ, producer, singer, AND songwriter unleashed an incredible set upon a privileged audience this past Saturday at the infamous XS Nightclub in Las Vegas.

We at Heist & Co. have been to XS Nightclub at least 50+ times since its grand opening 3 years ago and this has to have been one of the MOST packed I have ever seen the club. There were people still rolling in at 3:00 AM which I have never seen at any other club inVegas.

XS Resident DJ, Warren Peace, got things going right away with a great opening set and got everyone warmed up for Calvin Harris’s upcoming electrifying set. The energy instilled in the crowd seemed unsustainable but everyone at XS was about to find out that Harris was about to put on a show of epic magnitude. As soon as Calvin Harris took the decks, he opened up with a GREAT mash-up of Awooga vs We Are Your Friends [Justice] that that got the crowd instantly roaring. I thought a mini riot was going to occur when Harris played Bounce because everyone in the club went wild! Light stick waving throughout the air and confetti blasting throughout the night just added to amazing atmosphere. I could have sworn that there wasn’t a single person in the club who wasn’t on their feet dancing the night away.

Hours of calf crunching, fist pumping, sweat pouring dancing; Calvin Harris doesn’t let you leave the dance floor and reminds all of us why he’s internationally known. Whether you’re a hardcore fan or were somehow accidently addicted to the charismatic DJ/producer/singer/songwriter, Harris gave us a taste of what to expect for 2012 and his upcoming album dropping this year, Hypermobility. After an unforgettable night, these are just a few reasons why XS Nightclub continues to prove to us AND the world why it’s one the best clubs in Las Vegas. Las Vegas, NV – Feb. 6, 2012 – Rising young electronic music artist Porter Robinson has established an exclusive DJ residency with Wynn Las Vegas daylife and nightlife venues Encore Beach Club, Surrender and XS nightclubs in 2012. At only 19 years old, Robinson is one of the youngest DJs to perform exclusively at the resort.

Since graduating from high school in 2011, Robinson has quickly risen through the ranks of the international electronic music scene. His debut EP “Spitfire,” released on Skrillex’s OWSLA label, reached No. 1 on Beatport’s overall chart and iTunes dance chart. In 2011, he performed on Skrillex’s “OWSLA Summer Tour” and Tiësto’s “College Invasion Tour.” Robinson has also shared the stage with other notable electronic dance music superstars including DeadMau5, Afrojack, A-Trak and David Guetta. This year, Robinson is scheduled to headline numerous shows across North America as well as perform at Coachella and Ultra Music festivals.
